The Microsoft Office desktop co-authoring feature has been enabled for SME Box.com.
The desktop co-authoring feature enables you and your peers to work together in a document from Word, Excel, or PowerPoint desktop application with all your changes automatically saved back to Box.

As part of Box’s ongoing efforts to enhance security, performance, and user experience, Box will end of life (EOL) Box Sync in December 2026.
Please transition from Box Sync to Box Drive as soon as possible.
After December 2026, Box Sync will no longer be supported or receive updates.
Box Drive offers all the features of Box Sync, plus new enhancements such as folder redirection (for Windows), improved desktop experience controls, and robust security and governance capabilities.
When you install Box Drive, the installer will automatically uninstall Box Sync from your device—no manual removal is required.
While Box Sync may continue to function for a period after the EOL date, it will not be maintained, and its functionality may stop working at any time beyond that point.
Continuing to use Box Sync after this date could expose you to bugs or security vulnerabilities due to lack of support.
Please note: Your previously synced folders will not be pre-selected to un-hide in Box Drive; you may need to re-select these if desired.
